Richard Ray

Richard R. Ray


Richard graduated with his law degree from Loyola, New Orleans in 1999. Prior to law school, he obtained his undergraduate degree from LSUS in Political Science after graduating from Airline High School in Bossier City. Richard is admitted to practice law in all state and federal courts in Louisiana. 

Richard’s primary areas of practice include insurance defense, wills, successions, contracts, and domestic matters. He strives to be a “problem solver” who finds joy and fulfillment in helping clients work through difficult situations and complex problems.

Richard and his wife Sonja and they have three children. He and his family are active members of First Baptist Church Bossier. Outside of work, Richard enjoys grilling, watching movies, and LSU sports with his family.

He serves as an Assistant District Attorney for the 26th Judicial District Court in Bossier and Webster Parishes where he prosecutes all cases from misdemeanors to major felonies.

Richard is a member of the Bossier Bar Association and Associate Member of Republican Women of Bossier. He formerly served as: President, Northwest Louisiana Claims Association; Chairman, Bossier Parish Republican Executive Committee; Member, Bossier Parish Board of Elections Supervisors; Member-at-large, Shreveport Bar Association Executive Committee; Chairman - Louisiana State Bar Association Outreach Committee.
